The hiatus is finally over—and I’m starting things up again with some very big news.
You may remember the novel I’ve teased on and off over the past year. I’m pleased to report that, after many delays, I can finally tell you what it’s about. Ladies and gentlemen, I present you: Pathfinders. Fans of deep-space heroics, in the vein of Interstellar or The Martian, will find a lot to love here. The twist? These astronauts are not human at all, and their solar system is rather more exotic than our own. Read on for a short preview, below:
Kith’tal is a soldier. He’s been one ever since he clawed his way out of a lifetime in the slums. And for years, he has fought bravely, tirelessly, in the savage atomic war that has ravaged the Wveci homeworld. Now he wants out—and he will go anywhere to escape the bloodshed, even if it means leaving the only planet he knows.
Sokash is a pilot. From fighter jets to space capsules, he has flown ever higher in the relentless pursuit of glory. He is the heir to a warrior lineage stretching back centuries, and since the day he hatched, he has been told he is destined for greatness. With this grand new adventure, he has his chance.
Kith’tal and Sokash rarely see eye to eye. But their planet is dying, their species is on the brink of extinction. Together, they represent the last hope for a better future. Their mission: undertake a perilous voyage between worlds, traveling further than anyone before them, and descend into the lush, cloud-shrouded jungles of Qeitov. In its trackless wilds they just might find a refuge for their people.
The two pathfinders have no second chances, and there’s no hope of return. As they journey through the unknown, with only each other to rely on, they carry on their shoulders the destiny of the Wveci race.
Pathfinders will debut on the Kindle store on November 23, 2025. Until then, there’s a lot planned: preorders, behind-the-scenes info, and a sample chapter, just to name a few. I’ve been working on this project for a long time; I’m thrilled to finally share it with you. If you’d like to follow along, make sure you’re subscribed to the blog, and drop a comment below!
